All That And A Bag Of Chips

Good Morning,
Well today I have a  craft tutorial, this one I have been wanting to do for a while so I'm happy that I finally got around to making it. Today's craft is a pouch, made out of a small chip bag and duct tape. I know it sounds very elementary, but you can jazz this bad boy up in many ways. It's makes for a great little organizer in your purse and it also makes for a great conversation piece.

Enjoy,
Katie

Step 1: Eat your chips, or if your really excited to make this project then eat your chips while making this pouch. Now clean your bag out with soap and water, to remove any grease in your bag. Then cut down along  both sides of your bag. Your bag should look like the second picture.

Step 2: Now start ripping off pieces of duct tape, that are long enough to cover your chip bag ( like in picture 1). Then keep repeating this process all the way down, your chip bag.

Step 3: This is what your chip bag should look like, once you have the inside of your chip bag covered. Then cut off all the extra pieces of duct tape with your scissors ( your chip bag should look like pictures 3 and 4).

Step 4: Now rip off a piece of duct tape, that covers the bottom of your chip bag ( like in picture 1). Then flip your chip bag over and fold the duct tape to the back and press ( like in picture 2). Cut the extra pieces of duct tape off the ends and your bottom of your chip bag should look like picture 3.

Step 5: Repeat step 4 to the top of your chip bag, but instead of having one piece of duct tape you will have two. One piece of duct tape for the front and the other for the back.

Step 6: Again repeat step 4 to the sides of your chip bag. Once you finish up the sides, your chip bag should look like pictures 2 and 3.

Step 7: Apply your sticky velcro to the inside of your bag.

Then your done! Now you are all ready to use your chip bag, to store your pens and paper. Like I said at the beginning you can always dress up your chip bag more, for example I added a small duct tape bow in the corner of mine.

  3. Nice, I didn't know you could do THAT with your bag of chips (I felt attracted by the title), good idea for recycling too.
