Dog Felt Easter Bunny Toy DIY

Good Morning,
Today I have a fun diy, for all you dog lovers out their. Now in case you didn't notice my little doggie is one of the most important things to me. He is never left out of anything, that means that on Easter Sunday he will have a small little basket filled with dog treats and a new toy. So today I'm going to show you how to make a small bunny toy for your dog.

Enjoy,

Dog Felt Easter Bunny Toy DIY

Supplies
Bunny Template ( I use one from the Internet, then blew it up about five times it's size)
White Felt
Scissors ( not pictured)
Needles and Pins
Embroidery Thread
Stuffing ( not pictured)

Step 1: Trace round your bunny template onto a piece of white felt ( picture 1). Then cut it out, you should cut out two bunnies ( picture 2).

Step 2: Now this step is optional but for a cute touch I added a small carrot to the bunny. All I did was draw the carrot ( picture 1 ), then use orange and green embroidery thread to fill it in ( picture 2).

Step 3: This step is also optional, all I did was take black and pink embroidery thread and sewed a eye and nose for the bunny.

Step 4: Now thread your needle and with white embroidery thread and do a quick whip stitch around your bunny. Once you get close to finishing, stuff your bunny and sew him up.

Then your done! Now Sparky saw me making this diy, so I couldn't help myself and gave him the toy early.

  1. Super cute! Chuck would just rip it apart in 2 minutes and eat the stuffing. {sigh} LOL

  2. Too cute Katie! Maybe my dog KJ would feel less neglected if I made him this sweet Easter dog toy! I found your blog through the Happy Go Lucky Blog Hop.

  3. Cute idea, I don't have a doggie but I bet I could do the same thing smaller and stuff some catnip in it for my kitties :)
