Classic Movie Star Love: Betty Grable

Hello Everyone,
I've been wanting to do this post for a while now but just never got around to writing it. So today I am finally going to start my new series called, Classic Movie Star Love.

I love musicals and 1940/1950 movies. I have always loved them and it was something that my grandmother and I always shared. She was the one who got me into them, I still remember being a little girl and watching Fred Astaire, Gene Kelly and Judy Garland movies with her.

When I was thinking of starting this series the first person I should post about was so obvious, Betty Grable. Why her? Well, Betty Grable movies were the first 1940 musicals, I had ever watch. She is also my grandmother's favorite actress, which explains why at such a young age I knew most of her movies (lol).

My Favorite Movie Of Her's:  I hate to say this but for me, its imposable to pick just one. If I had to name a few I would say, Mother Wore Tights, Wabash Avenue, My Blue Heaven and The Dolly Sisters.

My Favorite Leading Man For Her:  Either Dan Daily or Victor Mature

  1. What I appreciate most about these pictures is that Betty looks HUMAN! Her weight is actually attainable! Thank you for sharing.

  2. Love the style of the 50s, however I must admit I'm happy that I can tie my hair the lazy way today without being judged as lazy.
