Mini Collection Monday

Hello Everyone,
Hope you all had a great weekend!

Today I wanted to share with you guys a juice pitcher that I bought back in March. I got this juice pitcher and the glasses at an antique store outside of town. What caught my eye about this set was the color and the atomic pattern (on the pitcher). I knew that the glasses weren't original made for the pitcher but I thought it made a cute set. All together I paid 8 dollars.

Well, my inner history buff wanted to know more about this pitcher. So I did a little research and found out some information. While looking on Etsy I saw that there were a tons of people selling this exact pitcher but then I found one seller who provided a good deal of information about its history.

To make a long story short, this pitcher was manufactured in the 60's by Anchor Hocking. They used the pitcher as a promotional tool for the drink TANG. Which I thought was pretty cool.

I'm currently building a cups, bowls, plates, glasses, etc collection in my hope chest. So I'm very happy that I purchase this set.

Have you found any thing good while thrifting, antiquing or garage saling?

xo Katie
