DIY: World's Greatest Crafter Sign

Hello Everyone!

When it comes to gift-giving and home décor, I am a real sucker for signs. I just think signs are such a cute way to spice up your home décor and to simply display your own thoughts / passions. With that in mind, I thought it would be fun to create a small sign that could be customize to fit anyone’s taste and be a great handmade gift.

So today, I am going to show you how to make a ''World’s Greatest Crafter'' sign!

Now, before we get started, I would like to say that this sign does not have to be about crafting. For example, your sign could say ''World’s Greatest Nurse'', ''World’s Greatest Dad'', and so on. I decided to go the crafter route because I had received some adorable Sewing buttons from Buttons Galore & More. However, you could change the sign to say whatever phrase you like. With that being said, just make sure you have buttons that correlate back to whatever phrase you chose.

If you want to learn how to make your own ''World's Greatest'' sign, then keep reading below!

Supplies
Wooden Sign
Wire
Pilers
Plaid: Apple Barrel Acrylic Paint in Key West
Foam Brush
Awl
Letter Stamps
Black Ink Pad

Step 1: Paint your sign on the front and back. Then set the whole thing aside to dry.

Step 2: Using your awl, poke three holes (that are evenly spaced) at the bottom of your sign.

Step 3: Using your letter stamps and black ink pad, stamp your phrase onto your sign.

Step 4: Grab your wire and attach it to one of your buttons. Then flip your sign over (so the stamped side is facing down) and feed the wire through one of the holes on your sign. Finally, take the extra wire that is sticking out of the hole, and wrap it into a little circle on the front of your sign.

Keep repeating this process with your other buttons.

Once you are happy with how your sign looks, you are ready to hang it up!

I just love this little sign turned out! It would make such a cute gift for someone to either hang in their office at work or in their home.

If want to make one of these signs but are in need of some buttons, then I would check out Buttons Galore & More. On their website, they have a variety of buttons that could be used to represent different career fields, hobbies, and so forth. In addition, on a very random note, I think these signs would make cute gifts for bridesmaids as well.

If you made this sign, what would yours say?
