Hello Everyone,
Today I wanted to share with you my first diy of the new year (which is super exciting)!
During the holiday season, I had bought two small rolls of vintage wrapping paper. I had used them on gifts but found that I had some left over. Instead of throwing the scraps away, I thought why not save them. Then this little diy was born!
This project would be great if you wanted to save paper from your wedding, baby shower or any other big occasion. When your done with the diy, you could store an ornament in your box, a wedding favor or anything esle that suits your fancy.
So without further adieu, the first diy of the new year!
Enjoy,
Katie
Supplies
Wrapping Paper
Small Wooden Box (I got mine from the dollar tree)
Paint Brush
Paint (In your color choice)
Mod Podge
Scissors
Step 1: Paint your wooden box inside and out. You may need to do one or two coats depending on how dark you want your box.
Step 2: Flip your box over and trace around the top, onto your wrapping paper. Then cut it out.
Step 3: Take your Mod Podge and glue your small piece of wrapping paper to the top of your box.
Then your done!
such a good idea. I never know what to do with the extra wrapping paper I have.

Thank You So Much!
DeleteAt Christmastime my family always revives a happy memory of my late Babci (grandmother in Polish) exclaiming "save the wrapping paper! save the wrapping paper!" after each opened present.
ReplyDeleteThis DIY will remind me of that particular memory all year round :) Now, if only I had wrapping paper that featured a beautiful scene like yours...
