I Heart July Fourth DIY

Hello Everyone,
Today is July first which means that July fourth is just around the corner.

In honor of July fourth I thought it would be nice to make a little wall hanging, that shows off my love of red, white and blue. This diy is super simple to make and is really customizable to fit any style.

Lets get crafty!

Supplies
Felt ( in red and white)
Heart Template
Hot Glue Gun
Buttons ( in red, white and blue)
Pen
Scissors
Stick (not pictured)
Ribbon (optional/not pictured)

Step 1: Cut a piece of white felt a little bit smaller then your red felt. You can make each square any size you want. I made my red piece of felt 9 by 10 and the white piece of felt 6 1/2 by 8. When your done it should look like picture 2.

Step 2: Take your heart template and trace around it onto your white felt.

Step 3: Hot glue the piece of white felt to the piece of red felt.

Step 4: Begin hot gluing your buttons onto the heart that you trace on your felt.

Step 5: Once the outline of the heart is complete, fill in the rest of the heart with more buttons. Also during this step you could hot glue ribbon or more buttons around the edges of your heart (but that totally optional).

Step 6: Now cut two small rectangles from your red piece of felt (picture 1). Then fold each piece over and hot glue the edges together (picture 2). When your done you will have two loops.

Step 7: Then hot glue these two loops to the back of the felt.

Slide the stick through the loops and your ready to hang up your new fourth of July wall hanging!
