Buttons Galore & More: DIY Decorative Pet Pumpkin

Hello Everyone!

Today I am sharing my latest DIY project that I created for the  Buttons Galore & More Design Team!

Before I talk about my project, I wanted to briefly say that as a member of the design team I do get free products to create awesome DIY projects. More specifically, Buttons Galore & More is sponsoring this post. With that being said, as a member of their design team, my projects will appear on the Buttons Galore & More blog instead of mine own. However, I will write these types of posts to keep you guys up-to-date about what is going on!

Now that we have all of that out of the way, let's get back to the project.

The project that I made for Buttons Galore & More this month dealt with pumpkin decorating. Specifically, the project that I made was a DIY Decorative Pet Pumpkin! Now, you may be asking what on earth is a decorative pet pumpkin? Well, it's basically a fake pumpkin that has been decorated to ''represent'' your pet. I think many of us get so ''pumpkin happy'' during this time of year, that we create all these amazing pumpkins but sort-of forget to ''represent'' our furry-four-legged friends. This project does just that, by using fun pet buttons and 3D dog shank buttons.

For my decorative pet pumpkin, I used a variety of pet/dog themed buttons like the 28 Lilac Lane ''Paws and Pets'' Embellishment Kit and Buttons Galore & More ''Dogs Value Pack''. Using these ''sets'' together really helped to create a cohesive pumpkin in terms of color and style. With that being said, most of you know that I do have a dog as a pet. So, when making this project, I chose to use the ''Dog Value Pack'' of 3D Buttons. However, if you have a cat and are wanting to make this project, then I would check out Buttons Galore & More ''Cat Value Pack''.

Finally, I wanted to say that this decorative pet pumpkin is just for decorating! This is not an item that your pet should be playing with or have near their food bowl. When displaying your decorative pet pumpkin, my suggestion would be to display it on a mantel, bookshelf, or counter, so your pet can not get to it.
