Adventures In Crochet (2)

Good Morning,
Here is this month's addition of Adventures In Crochet. If you miss last months then you can check that out here, but I can give you a quick little recap.

I have always wanted to learn how to crochet, I wanted to learn so much that I put it on my 20 Before 20 list ( which means this is going to get done). Since nobody is my family really knew how to crochet, I decided to take matters into my own hands, and went on Youtube. Last month I taught myself the basics of crochet and made a few dish rags. So this month I thought lets make a scarf.

After some digging I found a simple pattern for making a scarf, the one that I use was from About.com. All you needed for the pattern was a K hook, yarn and the basic knowledge of crochet. If you want to make your own version, you can find the pattern here.

Making this scarf was easy peasy lemon squeezy, all you really had to do was chain 224 chain stitches and make 13 rows. Once that was all done, you had a scarf.

I know this pattern was beyond easy and some of you pro crocheter could do this in your sleep. But I thought this would be a great way to master the basic chain stitch, and to work on my tension ( which was my problem last month).

When I was done making the scarf I had some left over yarn, I use that yarn and made another scarf......
I couldn't help myself.
Now it's little hard to see Sparky's scarf, but if you look closely its there, I promise!

Now off to watch more X-Files and to make another project for March.

Enjoy,
